National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day 💛
Today, on National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day, we want to highlight a cause that is close to our hearts—the mental wellness of children who are grieving.
At The Good Mourning Project by Mason's Movement, our mission is clear: to provide vital resources, support, and remembrance items to newly bereaved parents and siblings. The loss of a loved one is unimaginable, but for children, the loss of a sibling is particularly profound. It’s often called the “loss of a lifetime,” as most brothers and sisters will spend 90% of their lives walking the Earth together.
As a proud partner of Children’s Hospital, we focus specifically on the mental health and emotional wellbeing of newly bereaved siblings. These children, who are left to navigate grief at a young age, often face a unique set of challenges. The sorrow, confusion, and isolation they experience can affect their mental and emotional development, making it even more important that they receive the right support during this difficult time.
Through The Good Mourning Project, we strive to offer these children and their families the tools they need to cope, heal, and remember their lost loved ones. We provide grief resources, specialized remembrance items, and emotional support designed specifically for siblings dealing with the pain of losing a brother or sister.
The impact of losing a sibling is something that often goes unrecognized, but it can have lifelong consequences. We are committed to raising awareness and offering the necessary resources to help these children heal in a healthy, supportive environment.
